Boyana Aleksova is an award-winning Bulgarian artist who works in Kyustendil, Bulgaria.

 

Her interdisciplinary practice often uses a variety of artistic processes including socially engaging performance, writing, new ways of painting, traditional methods of printmaking and film. The main concepts within her work are those of environmental justice, eco-activism, and collaborative practice.

 

Aleksova obtained a Masters in Fine Art in 2021 from the School of Art, Birmingham City University where she also successfully graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Art in 2019. Her work has been shown internationally with works acquired in private collections.
